Jose Jimenez started his construction career at 18 years old and immersed himself in the fundamentals of the trade. His early years were hands-on in concrete work laying the foundation for his understanding of structural integrity. As he honed his skills, Jose expanded his expertise to include concrete foundations, kitchen remodeling and bathroom renovations showing his versatility that would become a hallmark of his career.

Demonstrating leadership and attention to detail Jose rose through the ranks to become a superintendent at a reputable construction firm. In this role he was part of a team of 40 employees and ran his own crew of 6 employees overseeing projects that required precision, coordination and quality.

In 2011 driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a vision to offer personalized construction solutions Jose obtained his general contractor’s license. This was the birth of JJ Construction which would later become JJ By Design Construction (JJBDC) reflecting a broader scope of services and a design centric approach.
